Tilapia Health
Ictyodev specializes in tailor-made product development for enhancing tilapia health, encompassing both vaccine and feed additive domains. At the core of our expertise lies the establishment of standardized challenge models, ensuring a rigorous evaluation of efficacy and safety for all tested products.
Diagnostics
We offer extensive diagnostic services for tilapia health, utilizing quantitative PCR for the detection of most bacterial and viral pathogens. Our comprehensive approach also includes the innovative Ictyocard, a technology without geographical limitations.
About Ictyodev
Based in France, we function as an independent animal health laboratory, focusing on three primary areas:
- Developing and bringing to market vaccine adjuvants for various farmed animal species.
- Conducting contract research and providing services in tilapia health, functioning as both a Contract Research Organization (CRO) and a Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) for safety and potency vaccine batch release.
- Delivering tailored diagnostic solutions for tilapia.
Our team
Cédric Komar
Veterinarian, executive MBA from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore (NTU), Manager of the Aqua Business Unit of a MSD Animal Health in Asia for eight years. Introduced the first tilapia vaccines on the market.
Lauke Labrie
Veterinarian with a specialized MSc in Aquatic Veterinary Studies, responsible for fish vaccine development for MSD Animal Health in Singapore for eight years. Four patents in vaccinology.
Laurent Dupuis
PhD, 20 years of business experience in adjuvant product development and as a commercial manager for animal adjuvants.
Stéphane Ascarateil
Biochemist, 22 years of business experience in adjuvant technology and manufacturing as a laboratory manager, development manager and manager of injectable products.
Beatriz Miguelena Chamorro
Veterinarian specialized in immunology, bacteriology and mucosal vaccines. Possesses an MSc in Vaccinology and a PhD with a focus on advancing mucosal vaccine research and immune response monitoring.

ICTYODEV is GMP certified by the French Agency for Veterinary Medicinal Products (ANMV) and National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health Safety (ANSES), the competent authority in France with regards to veterinary medicinal products.
We have obtained ISO 9001:2015 certification in 2022 regarding the manufacturing of excipients for veterinary products.
In 2023, we achieved EXCiPACT® certification for the manufacturing of oil excipients dedicated to pharmaceutical use.
